Kakheti: Wine Traditions

Your first stop a traditional qvevri workshop, where skilled artisans handcraft the large clay vessels used in Georgia's unique winemaking process. It's a wonderful opportunity to see one of the country's oldest traditions (and a UNESCO heritage)  still practiced today.

Stop at Telavi, the heart of Kakheti. Take a leisurely walk through its welcoming streets, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and get a feel for local life in one of Georgia's most picturesque towns.

Next, visit a historic winery to discover why Georgia is considered the birthplace of wine. Learn about the country's 8,000-year-old winemaking tradition while enjoying a tasting of carefully selected local wines.

The day ends in the romantic hilltop town of Sighnaghi, known as the "City of Love." Wander its charming cobbled streets, admire its colorful wooden balconies, and enjoy spectacular views over the Alazani Valley and the distant Caucasus Mountains.
